1. About Us
Terroir Hub is an online store operated by Abadia de Sabores, Lda, a company registered in Portugal under NIF 514641894, with registered office at Avenida Doutor António Macedo 196, 4450-617 Leça da Palmeira, Matosinhos, Portugal. You can contact us at info@terroirhubwine.com or +351 966 141 533.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By placing an order through terroirhubwine.com (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, our Privacy Policy and our Returns Policy.
3. Products
We sell Portuguese wines under the brands Maquete, Koppu and Samare, among others. Product descriptions, vintages, alcohol content and availability are provided in good faith but may vary between vintages or bottling batches; images are for illustration and may differ slightly from the product delivered.
4. Age Restriction
Our products contain alcohol. By using this Site and placing an order you confirm that you meet the legal minimum drinking age in your country of residence and in the destination country of delivery (for example: 18 in Portugal/the EU, 20 in Japan, 18 in Hong Kong and Singapore). We reserve the right to request proof of age and to refuse or cancel any order where this cannot be confirmed.
5. Consumer and Trade (HORECA) Customers
This Site serves two categories of customer, counted per reference (per wine/SKU): (a) final consumers purchasing up to 12 bottles of the same reference, at consumer retail prices; and (b) HORECA/trade customers (restaurants, hotels, importers, sommeliers) purchasing more than 12 bottles of the same reference, at wholesale prices, subject to a separate trade account and, where applicable, a distinct trade agreement. HORECA customers are not “consumers” for the purposes of the statutory right of withdrawal described in our Returns Policy.
6. Prices and Payment
All prices are displayed in Euro (EUR), inclusive of Portuguese VAT (IVA) for consumer orders, unless stated otherwise. If you pay in another currency, the conversion is performed by our payment processor, Stripe, at its prevailing exchange rate at the time of checkout; we do not control or guarantee this rate. We reserve the right to correct any pricing error before an order is accepted.
7. Orders and Contract Formation
An order placed on the Site is an offer to purchase. The contract is only formed when we send you an order confirmation email. We may refuse or cancel an order at our discretion, including in cases of pricing errors, suspected fraud, or inability to verify the minimum legal drinking age.
8. Delivery and International Shipping
We ship to Portugal, other EU countries, and internationally including Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore. Estimated delivery times are provided for guidance only and are not guaranteed. For international orders, the recipient is responsible for any import duties, excise/alcohol taxes, and customs clearance requirements imposed by the destination country, unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout. Some destinations restrict the quantity of alcohol that may be imported for personal use; it is the customer’s responsibility to check applicable limits before ordering.
9. Right of Withdrawal
Consumers within the European Union have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of receipt of goods, in accordance with Decree-Law 24/2014. Full details, exceptions (including opened or unsealed bottles) and the return process are set out in our Returns Policy.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on this Site, including brand names (Maquete, Koppu, Samare), logos, product photography and text, is owned by or licensed to Abadia de Sabores, Lda and may not be reproduced without our prior written consent.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from your use of the Site or purchase of products is limited to the price paid for the relevant order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for delays or failures caused by customs authorities, carriers, or events beyond our reasonable control.
12. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
If you are not satisfied with our service, please contact us first at info@terroirhubwine.com. In accordance with Portuguese law, you may also register a complaint using our electronic complaints book (“Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico”), available at www.livroreclamacoes.pt. EU consumers may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. Any dispute shall be submitted to the Portuguese courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence that may apply.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on the Site at the time of your order.
